In Program Year 2023, Thirty-one (31) applications were submitted for financial assistance from the Cuyahoga County Healthy Urban Tree Canopy Program for a total of $1,683,421 in funding. Based on the evaluations the top nineteen (19) ranked projects were awarded funding. The HUTC Program funded the following:

  • 1 High Impact Reforestation Project
  • 4 Tree Planting Projects
  • 8 Maintenance and Tree Planting Projects
  • 6 Planning and Planting Projects

Application Summary

For Program Year (PY) 2023, Cuyahoga County received thirty-one (31) applications for funding through the Healthy Urban Tree Canopy Grant Program, requesting a total of $1,696,520.92.

Cuyahoga County had approximately $950,000 available through the Healthy Urban Tree Canopy Grant program. The projects submitted include the following:

  • Two (2) High Impact Reforestation Projects
  • Eight (8) Tree Planting Projects
  • Nine (9) Maintenance and Tree Planting Projects
  • Twelve (12) Planning and Tree Planting Projects
