MINUTES OF THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION

FEBRUARY 9, 2017

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting of the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission (CCPC) was called to order by Mr. Kelly and the roll was taken.

MINUTES
On a motion by Councilperson Simon, seconded by Mayor Infeld, the minutes of the December 8, 2016 meeting was unanimously approved.

ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING
In following Article 6 of the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission Bylaws electing officers annually from the members nominations were accepted for 2017.

On a motion by Councilperson Simon, seconded by Mayor Infeld, Mr. Kelly was reelected as Chair of the board and was unanimously approved.

On a motion by Mr. Kelly, seconded by Mayor Byrne, Councilperson was reelected as Vice-Chair of the board and was unanimously approved.

RESOLUTIONS
On a motion by Councilperson Simon, seconded by Mayor Bobst, to amend the agenda to include Resolution 170209-D for discussion and vote.

On a motion by Mayor Procuk, seconded by Mayor Byrne, Resolution 170209-A, Resolution of Appreciation to Richard Sicha, was unanimously approved.

On a motion by Councilperson Simon, seconded by Mayor Byrne, Resolution 170209-B, Resolution of Appreciation to Marcia Moll, was unanimously approved.

Noted the arrival of Mayor Sellers.

On a motion by Mayor Infeld, seconded by Councilperson Simon, Resolution 170209-C, approving an Agreement with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, was unanimously approved.

On a motion by Mayor Byrne, seconded by Mayor Infeld, Resolution 170209-D, approving a planning services agreement with the Village of Newburgh Heights to update the Village zoning ordinance, was unanimously approved.

CHAIR’S REPORT
Mr. Kelly welcomed the newest member to the board, Mayor Bobst.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT
Mr. Coyne had Mr. Sonnhalter introduce the two newest County Planning interns Ms. Olivia Helander and Ms. Kayla Kellar.

Mr. Coyne gave a projects update report with a presentation PowerPoint.

ADJOURNMENT
With there being no old business, new business, or comments from the public, on a motion by Mayor Infeld, seconded by Mayor Sellers, the meeting was adjourned.
