MINUTES OF THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
OCTOBER 11, 2018
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting of the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission (County Planning) was called to order by Chair Mr. Kenneth Surratt and the roll call showed a quorum was present.
RESOLUTIONS
On a motion by Mayor Bobst, seconded by Councilperson Simon, Resolution 181011-A, approval of a City of Brooklyn Community Survey Agreement, was duly adopted by unanimous vote.
On a motion by Councilperson Simon, seconded by Mayor Bobst, Resolution 181011-B, approval of a City of Brooklyn Master Plan Additional Services Agreement was duly adopted by unanimous vote.
Councilperson Brown arrives.
On a motion by Mayor Byrne, seconded by Councilperson Brown, Resolution 181011-C, approval of a Department of Development CDBG Technical Assistance Annual Agreement with an Agreement date change of November 1, 2018 – October 31, 2019 was duly adopted by unanimous vote with Mr. Surratt abstaining.
On a motion by Councilperson Brown, seconded by Councilperson Simon, Resolution 181011-D, Approval of a TLCI Planning Grant Application for Rocky River, Lakewood, and Metroparks; Lakewood and Rocky River Bridges Trail Connectivity Plan, was duly adopted by unanimous vote.
On a motion by Mayor Bobst, seconded by Mayor Brennan, Resolution 181011-E, approval of a TLCI Planning Grant Application for University Circle Incorporated, Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, and Shaker Heights; Lake to Lake Trail Wayfinding and Connections Plan was duly adopted by unanimous vote.
On a motion by Councilperson Simon, seconded by Councilperson Brown, Resolution 181011-F, approval of a 2019 Urban Tree Canopy Assessment Update was duly adopted by unanimous vote.
On a motion by Councilperson Brown, seconded by Mayor Bobst, Resolution 181011-G, approval of a Procurement Policy for the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission was tabled by unanimous vote.
MINUTES
On a motion by Mayor Procuk, seconded by Mayor Byrne, the minutes of the August 9, 2018 meeting were duly adopted by unanimous vote.
CHAIR’S REPORT
Mr. Surratt welcomed the newest board member to the Planning Commission, Mayor Michael Dylan Brennan from University Heights.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT
James Sonnhalter introduced interns Jennifer Chandler, Sean Buckley, and Nate Weyand-Geise.
Elaine Price gave a status report of the Cuyahoga River Water Trail Planning project.
OLD BUSINESS
Belmont Place Subdivision in Olmsted Township that had been tabled was still pending as the applicant continues to work on their engineering for the development of the site.
The next meeting to be held on November 8th, 2018.
NEW BUSINESS
No items of New Business.
COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
Daz and Theresa Patterson introduced themselves from ACTION2016, Inc., and provided brief comments.
ADJOURNMENT
Councilperson Simon motioned to adjourn the meeting, the motion was seconded by Councilperson Brown and was duly agreed by unanimous vote.
